The warfare of the past two decades has caused about 3 million Afghans to flee their homeland, most of them settling in Iran and Pakistan. Photographer Edward Grazda has documented the dramatic changes that war has wrought in Afghanistan in his book "Afghanistan Diary: 1992-2000." Many of the photographs demonstrate how particular locations have been altered by the ongoing fighting. The volume of photographs is published by PowerHouse Books of New York and retails for $29.50. It can be ordered by going to the publishers website: http://www.powerhousebooks.com, or by calling (212) 604-9074. A selection of the photographs appearing in the book are contained in this photo essay.
