Children ride a horse in the foggy mountain village of Bakhmaro, two kilometers above the Black Sea in the mountains of western Georgia. The village, uninhabited for most of the year, becomes a summer home to hundreds of families escaping the heat every summer from mid-July to the end of August. Georgians, especially those with young children, treat the village as a summer cure-all for weak lungs and persistant coughs.
