A 41-year-woman and a juvenile have been arrested on suspicion of supporting the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan (IMU).
The two individuals were detained separately in Isfara on November 3 and November 4 respectively. Authorities allege that they provided material support for Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan (IMU) members active in the Sughd region of northwestern Tajikistan.
"[The 17-year-old] will be prosecuted for [?] aiding and abetting [and] participation in a criminal association," a source told the CA-News.org news website on November 5.
The charges against him relate to bringing food to an uncle and four of his IMU associates. The woman allegedly provided IMU members with a safe house between March and June of this year.
