President of Turkmenistan reshuffles law enforcement officials
Chairing a meeting of the National Security Council, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov ordered staffing changes in law enforcement. He dismissed Prosecutor General Yaranmyrad Yazmyradov for “insufficient control over the work of public prosecutor’s offices;” Prosecutor of Ashgabat Movlamberdy Garaev for “serious shortcomings in his work and abuse of public office for private gain;” and Deputy Minister of National Security in charge of the city of Ashgabat ,Baymyrad Altyev, for “serious shortcomings in his work.”
Berdymukhamedov also reprimanded Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan Serdar Durdyev for “unsatisfactory performance of duties and shortcomings in his work” and warned him that he will be relieved of his post if he fails to correct shortcomings as soon as possible.
Berdymukhamedov appointed Amanmyrad Khallyev Prosecutor General of Turkmenistan and relieved him of his post as Chairman of the Supreme Court.
Begench Charyev, who previously worked as Minister of Justice, has been appointed Chairman of the Supreme Court. Deputy Ministry of Justice Begmyrat Muhammedov has been appointed the new Minister of Justice.

Turkmen President Won Another Bike Race
President Berdymukhamedov took part in another bike race together with 30,000 of his compatriots, including members of the government and heads of the Parliament, officers of military and law-enforcement institutions, diplomats, students, and school children. The President won the race, but gave his prize to the runner-up Evgenii Galinni.

Berdymukhamedov's New Book on Medicinal Plants Published
The fifth volume of President Berdymukhamedov’s book on Turkmenistan's medicinal plants has been published, featuring 150 plants and describing the possibilities of their use in the scientific and domestic (folk) medicine.
