Turkmenistan: TAPI Coming Soon?
At an investment conference in Ashgabat also held last week, Turkmenistan said it expects to sign a long-delayed agreement to start building the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) pipeline, naturalgasasia.com reported.
Bayramgeldy Nedirov, Turkmenistan's oil and gas minister, said he had "no doubts" the project would start and signing of the agreement was "imminent." The 1,700-kilometer pipeline would pump 33 billion cubic meters of gas.
TAPI has been held up over disagreements on gas prices, transit fees and security.
